Peaceful Palms Completed!

Tah Dah!

Okay so the ends have not been woven in but the gloves have been done for some time now. I'm glad that I signed up for this knit along and made my first pair of gloves. I've learned how to knit with two circular needles (as you can see my gauge is different on two circulars vs. dpns) and I've learned that I don't know how to avoid holes.
The latest Bond newsletter shows a product called the Pocket Knitter. It looks like a comb! I can't wait to see one in the store to find out if it is flat like a comb or if it is more like the Knifty Knitter Long Loom.

They look great. I wish I had a way to avoid the holes at the bases of the fingers. I just sew them closed when I'm done, but I would rather avoid them altogether. I think my next pair will be from a different pattern, although I like this garter cuff one (two pair -- I'm tired of it).

Thank you for the post! I have been thinking that weaving in those ends will leave me lots of extra thread to sew the holes closed. I would like to try another pair of gloves soon and like you, I want to try a different pattern. I want to do something new! I'll keep an eye on your blog to see what gloves you do next. I don't think I can get motivated until the temperature falls below freezing at least once this year.

I bought the Pocket Knitter today because I simply must have every gadget Bond comes up with. It does look like a giant comb! The stitch tool is the same as the basic Bond stitch lifter except in pretty colors. : ) The Pocket Knitter has hooks on the bottom and what the instruction book calls "fins" at the top. I haven't had a chance to play with it yet, but I'll let you know how it works.

Great news, Tina! I have still not seen one in the stores but I'm hoping they arrive soon. I love gadgets, especially the knitting kind. Please let me know how it works!

I bought a Pocket knitter at a JoAnnes fabric store, and I'm starting on a baby sweater pattern that was free there. So far so good, it sure knits up fast! Two sleeves done, and ready to start the front panels,,,,

If you have a link to a picture or blog that shows your pocket knitter projects, please let me know! I keep bypassing them at JoAnn's because I've not seen one in use yet. Do you know the gauge for the baby sweater?

Springyknitting,
I have the pattern w/picture of the baby sweater, if you want I can email it to you.

I'd love to see a picture of the baby sweater! I saw the pocket knitter this weekend but their website shows you can buy 3 different sizes in one pack. JoAnn's only had one size. Am I being greedy in that I want them all instead of just one?
springyknitting @ yahoo.com (nospaces) Thank you!

I was sooooo wrong! I thought the three pack sold at the Bond website was for three different gauges but they are the same gauge! I don't know about you but I'd rather have three different gauges than three different colors!
